Louisiana Words Live: New Orleans 2 - A Pride Show (This Weekend)

Louisiana Words Live is back in New Orleans again with a pride-themed show on June 26th @ 7pm at The Allways Lounge & Cabaret ( 2240 St Claude Ave) ! The show will be introducing writers: Jorge Arturo, Brenna Alyssa Mahn, & T.Q. Sims! Writers, Daniel W. K. Lee and J. Michael Norris, will be featured and hosted by, creator, Louis Toliver Jr! All people across the rainbow spectrum are invited!  We will have a roster of ally writers and an open mic! Louisiana Words Live: The History of Pride (THIS WEEKEND)

Louisiana Words  will be participating in Lafayette's Pride this June 11th @ 3pm at Cite Des Arts! We will be having a special pride theme show highlighting local historical figures that help paved way for equality. Ted A. Richard will be reading a special chapter from his new book,  The 16th Second , about the  Acadiana Pride Festival  and Louis Toliver Jr. will be reading from his first novel:  Pride Story  which lays out the history of pride in Acadiana, based on true events. The show will also memorialize Louisiana equality legends: Kristopher "Biscuit" Hebert (also a drag performer) who helped bring mental handicap awareness to the state and Cara Ann Overgaard, the first trans director. We will have a roster of ally writers and an open mic!
