The Louisiana Social Pledge

We pledge our allegiance to Louisiana. We will embrace what makes us and our state unique. Louisiana will be recognized as a leader and innovator of the New South. Many great leaders of the future will come from this state. And we will show both the media and politicians that we are smarter than them. We will no longer have our resources exhausted and our people used and left behind. We will work hard and play hard. We will protect each other. We will support each other. We pledge that we will do whatever we can to get these things in motion right now. We will no longer wait for a path to be cleared for us. We will clear the path ourselves. And we ain’t giving up easily. We will socialize in the real world just as well as we do on the internet…in hopes to organize ourselves effectively.

Shut the Door (Game Over) ( Louis Toliver Jr. - Swartz, LA)

Now that your game is recognized
I see your ways of cruelty
Like Jigsaw used to play with me
Trial after trial
I danced with death a while
But this game is over
I pick up knife
I'm living for my life
I cut away this strife
With a grin, I push you out
I shut the door and say,
"Game over."

So Swole (Louis Toliver Jr - Swartz, LA)

I’m so swole
Nothing sexier that my mole
Finders for keepers
 Insecurity gives me the creepers
I’m sitting on my brain
Wondering if the world is sane
I’m King Kong observing the land
Sunlight shoots from my hand
I beat my chest
And let God do the rest

To Be with You (Louis Toliver Jr - Swartz, LA)

I’m that big guy
With that itty bitty waist
All dem haters mad
‘Cause they wanna get a taste

Jealous of me
For what I wanna do
When all I really wanna do
Is to be with you

Drivers and Watchers (Louis Toliver Jr - Swartz, LA)

Like a race car track
Drivers drive life to the fullest
Their souls speed around
Among a coliseum of watchers
Lap after lap risking their lives
Watchers envy the freedom
Safely viewing crashes at a distance
They won’t do anything to help

Misinterpreted (Louis Toliver Jr- Swartz, LA)

Please read me closely

Like a pair of dice
I have many sides
If you roll me gently
The odds are …

You will get a side of me
But which one?
What you see
Isn’t always what you get

You think you know me

My body
My mind
My heart
Any part of me

Is just an interpretation
So get to know me
By reading me closely
To get the whole picture

I won’t be misinterpreted
