Louisiana Words Writer Review: Bisqitta Tells the Truth about LGBTQIA Culture

Love Is Life's Blood (Jason Smith - Lafayette, LA)

You are my hearts desire, You have lit my fire. All that has happened between us, Has made me believe in trust. I do not know what to do, All I know is I still love you. Only with you have I found true love, For only you have become my morning dove. Please tell me that we still have a chance, That you with me will always be true romance. However, as in life there is no real answer to love, Just that you are its life’s blood.

Through the Tears (Steve Duhon - Carencro, LA)

When I find myself alone in the pain. When I feel like I have absolutely no one to turn to. When I wish the hurt would stop. When I don't know what to do. When I feel completely lost. When my eyes just won't stop welling up. When I don't want to bother anyone with my hurt, my pain. When I know that everyone has other responsibilities. I don't want to interrupt them with my hurt. When I have thought about all of the ways to make the hurt stop. When I am tired of putting on my strong face for others to see. When I am tired of the tears welling up, filling already soggy eyes. When I am tired of the tears, tears that roll non-stop over my cheeks. When I don't want to hurt the ones that I love the most. When it seems like those who are supposed to love me don't get who I am. When no one has any idea of the pain my smile hides. When I am worried about being forever labeled by others. When I am the one that everyone counts on for strength. When I never show any weakn

Waiting on a Date - (Harvey LeBeouf - Kaplan, LA)

Wanting to go out on a perfect date Waiting to find that someone Learning you have to trust fate Searching for that someone Trying to rush everything in life Rushing into bed with someone In the end will only cause you strife Be patient waiting for that someone Remember all that will happen is already written Learn everything you can about someone Wait until your heart pulls and you are truly smitten Don’t rush into bed with someone Live like you believe in everything you have felt Get to know the heart of someone Love like you believe this is the best hand you ever been dealt Be in unison and harmony with someone The path you walk is the path you are supposed to be on Don’t doubt yourself or question the reason.

HEADLINER: She Struggles (Cj Avory - Lafayette, LA)

She Struggles She goes back and forth In and out of emotions Awake one minute Dreaming away the day In the next A paroxysm one moment Rocking steady in the next Its all crap one minute And then the world Is beautiful again She struggles but At least she's not afraid To say what she feels When she feels it It may be all crap today But tomorrow she will be okay

Louisiana Words: Pledge to Louisiana (Summer 2019}

I pledge my allegiance to Louisiana. I will embrace what makes me and my state unique. Louisiana will be recognized as a leader and innovator of the New South. Many great leaders of the future will come from this state. And we will show both the media and politicians that we are just as smart as hem. We will no longer have our resources exhausted and our people used and left behind. We will work hard and play hard. We will protect each other. We will support each other. I pledge that I will do whatever I can to get these things in motion right now. We will no longer wait for a path to be cleared for us. We will clear the path ourselves. We I ain’t giving up easily. I will socialize in the real world just as well as I do on the social  media …in hopes to organize us  and the real world that we live e ffectively.
