The sobs caught her off guard
Hit her, a literal punch to the gut
Wind sucked away, gasping gasping
Small sounds escape her in hitched gulps
(if you weren't paying attention you might not have noticed she was even crying at all)
Her body sagged abruptly against the door frame
Giving in to the pull of gravity, collapse
Such deep convulsions, the tears wracked her frame
As if the sobs were coming not from her body but her soul.
