In complete darkness
I reached for you and you weren’t there
Were you blind?
Or did you get left behind?
The door closed
I made my way to the glowing exit sign
I didn’t look back
I didn’t jump but rather just stepped off
Into floating abyss
Suspended in air
I’m twisting and turning trying to find the ground
But all I need to do is let go of the illusion
