Take the street on the left
where the lights are low

and the looks even lower
these tall walls
are easy to hide up against
hearing the yuppies caw inside
fame, fortune, and vanity
all bundled with
modern art calamity
inverting from within to
reveal a mushy exterior
a now transparent mask
folded over skin
but the sight of eyes
illusions give way
to the wide open doorways
into empty space
with a narrow-minded
chocolate coated center
you are but dead
dead to me
